STRESS
I have never been one to get stressed out, but I have seriously been on the verge of tears all day. Things already on my to do list for this week:
- Read three papers for Population Dynamics
- Write a lab report for Animal Ecology (that I still have no topic for and is due Wednesday)
- Do Pop. Dynamics lab
- Grade 30 worksheets
- Grade 30 quizzes
- Find time to go in and do my Veterinary Parasitology lab
- Write a research proposal (WAY overdue)
- Clean the apartment in anticipation of my FOUR house guests next weekend
In addition to all of that, last night there was an insane thunderstorm and I discovered this afternoon that my second bedroom flooded majorly. My wooden desk and several boxes of books/photographs/magazines were sitting on a soaked carpet all night and morning.
So today I got to try and move everything off of the wet carpet by myself so that it won’t be damaged further. As of right now, my bedroom floor is littered with damp books and magazines, and, since the carpet by the bedroom door isn’t wet, all of the furniture is crowded around the door and it is literally impossible to get into the spare bedroom.
The carpet steamer place is apparently closed on Sundays, so everything is going to have to sit and mildew until Monday. On Mondays, I’m on campus all day, so I won’t be here when they come, which means they’re going to have to figure out how to get into the room and where to put the elliptical, bed, drawers, and all the contents of the two closets in that room while they clean up the carpet by themselves.
FANTASTIC.
